Recent Projects

• A major educational publisher wanted to develop an instructional program to fit the needs of the early childhood education market. JRQ Research conducted market exploration, concept generation, concept testing, and marketing studies through a review of published information, a telephone survey with district administrators, telephone focus groups, and multiple phases of in-person focus groups with teachers. Within a year of being launched, the product is in use in twenty of the top 100 school districts (by enrollment).

• JRQ Research has conducted a series of pre- and post adoption studies in specific states for a major educational publisher. For pre-adoption studies, general objectives have included exploration of the adoption criteria and optimum product package. In post adoption studies, objectives have been to understand the key influences in order to guide campaigns in other states. Most of these studies were conducted by means of telephone interviews with influential teachers and district administrators.

• Some publishing clients have used JRQ Research to explore the readiness of educators for different kinds of electronic publishing. In the most recent study in this area, JRQ Research developed and sent an online questionnaire to college professors, analyzed the results (from over 7K respondents), and made recommendations for future actions.
